Valentine's Day is a special day of the year when couples celebrate their love for each other. It's a day to make special memories, to indulge in sweet treats and to enjoy a delicious meal. If you're looking for an extravagant meal to impress your loved one, then look no further! This surf and turf dinner is the perfect way to spoil your special someone on Valentine's Day.

And if you both have garlic breath, you cancel each other out!

For this recipe, you'll need the following ingredients:

For the Surf:

  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons of Mojo Garlic Sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

You can also elevate this dish by substituting Lobster Tails. Adjust the recipe to 1 teaspoon of mojo garlic sauce and 1 tablespoon of butter per tail, salt and pepper to taste, then broil for 5-6 minutes. Serve with wedge of a lemon.

For the Turf:

For the sides:

  • 8 ounces of mixed greens
  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of Garlic Oil from Mojo Sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 large potatoes, cubed (skin on or off)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Mojo Garlic Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Veggie Blend
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.

  2. For the surf, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp, salt and pepper, and garlic and cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of butter. Stir until the butter is melted.

  3. For the turf, heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a separate skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and add to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and add the minced garlic, dried thyme, and 1 tablespoon of butter. Stir until the butter is melted.

  4. For the sides, place the mixed greens in a large bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon of the oil from the mojo, salt, and pepper.

  5. In another bowl, combine the cubed potatoes with mojo, veggie blend, salt, and pepper. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. To serve, place the mixed greens on a plate, followed by the filet mignon, and finally, the shrimp on top. Serve with the roasted potatoes on the side.

This surf and turf dinner is a luxurious meal that's perfect for a special occasion like Valentine's Day. The combination of succulent shrimp and juicy filet mignon, paired with a side of mixed greens and roasted potatoes, makes for an unforgettable dining experience. So, go ahead and treat your loved one to this delicious feast on Valentine's Day and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Happy cooking and Happy Valentine's Day!
