Spiced Cauliflower Steaks

Substantial and delicious enough to be the main entree, Cauliflower steaks are an elegant presentation and plant-forward addition to any holiday menu.

Cauliflower Steaks


  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 2 teaspoons Mama Milly's Middle East 7 Spice Blend
  • 2 teaspoons Mama Milly’s Adobo Spice Blend
  • 3 tablespoons Mama Milly's Mojo Garlic Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pomegranate arils and fresh mint leaves (for garnish)


  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Remove the leaves and trim the stem of the cauliflower, leaving the core intact.
  • Slice the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks, cutting from the center of the head outwards.
  • In a small bowl, mix Adobo,  Middle East 7 Spice Blend, Mojo Garlic Sauce, and balsamic vinegar. 
  • Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the spice blend mixture.
  • Place the cauliflower steaks on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes or until tender and golden.
  • Garnish with pomegranate arils and fresh mint leaves before serving.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Ingredient Swap:

  • Use broccoli instead of cauliflower for a delicious variation.
  • Substitute balsamic vinegar with apple cider vinegar for a tangy twist.
